We had thought this was a potential virus on the mother plant but now see it's likely a genetic trait passed down since diseases and pests would not have transferred with the seed it produced

We recommend using net pots and a mix with a high portion (>50%) of perlite or other coarse well draining components

Pitchers can get quite large on this cross and the contrast between bright yellow and gold is striking.
