Three of those four teams, including the Steamrollers, ceased operations after only one season. The team was based out of Providence, RI and used the Providence Civic Center as their home arena. The AFL Steamrollers were actually the first professional sports team to call Providence home since the NBA Steamrollers folded in 1949.
