relief commemoration stone teutoburg forest Foam - latex - glasvezel employed notably during the ThirtyThe relief is crafted after the 1st century AD commemoration stone for the Centurion Marcus Caelius of the eighteenth legion Augusta. The original was excavated at Castra Vetera (Xanten) and mentions the death of Marcus Caelius in the Battle of Teutoburg Forest. This stone remains the only written evidence of this event. The relief measures 25 x 19 cm and at the back it has an eye for hanging it to the wall.
